Brakely is a Screen Time app. We collect as little as possible: there’s no account, and your usage data stays on your phone.
Who is responsible for your data

No account needed
Brakely has no sign-up or login, and doesn’t collect your name, email address or phone number.
Your usage data stays on your phone
Which apps and websites you use, and for how long, is processed and stored on your phone by iOS Screen Time. Brakely uses it only on your phone, to block and to show stats, and never uploads it. Brakely also can’t see what you do inside apps.
Your rules stay on your phone
Your rules, focus history and reliability history are stored only on this phone and are never uploaded to our servers. If you use iCloud Backup, this data goes into your own iCloud backup along with the rest of your phone, and we can’t see it. When you delete Brakely, this data is deleted from your phone with the app (anything already in your iCloud backup is handled under iCloud’s rules).
Anonymous data (you can turn it off)
To improve the product, Brakely may send anonymous data that contains no usage content, such as whether rules started on time. This data never includes which apps or websites you use, how long you use them, or your rule names, nor any identifier that could identify you or your device; our servers don’t store IP addresses. The exact items will be listed here one by one (no events are being sent yet). Turn off “Help improve Brakely” in Brakely’s Settings and sending stops right away, and anything not yet sent is deleted from your phone.
Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Brakely never receives your payment details; Apple only tells us whether your subscription is active.
Configuration file
Brakely downloads a configuration file from this website (for example, the free plan’s limits). It’s a download only, and sends no information about you.
Website hosting
This website and the configuration file the app downloads are hosted on Cloudflare. Access logs created when you visit the website or download the configuration file are handled by Cloudflare under its privacy policy.
Crash reports
Brakely doesn’t collect crash reports itself. If you choose to share analytics with developers in iPhone Settings, Apple provides us with anonymous crash reports under its privacy policy.
No tracking
Brakely doesn’t track you across apps or websites, doesn’t use the advertising identifier, and has no ads or third-party analytics SDKs.
How long data is kept
On your phone, reliability history is kept for about 30 days and focus history for about 60 days. No anonymous data is being sent yet; before it is, the server retention period will be stated here.
Your rights
We don’t store data that can identify you, so there is no personal data to view, export or delete. Deleting Brakely deletes all its data on your phone. If you have any questions, email us.
Children
Brakely is for people managing their own phone use. It isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect children’s data.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its date; we’ll tell you about significant changes in the app.
