Help & support
Why didn’t a rule start on time?
iOS Screen Time has known issues: right after a restart, switching is sometimes a few minutes late, and the daily limit occasionally fills up early or counts late. Open Brakely and it checks itself and catches up right away; anything it can’t fix is marked, with a “Fix” button. Please also keep iOS and Brakely up to date.
How do I turn off Strict mode?
Wait until the period ends, and the rule can be edited as usual again. In a real emergency, tap “Emergency unlock” in the rule’s details; after 15 minutes you can unlock this one time, and the next one starts as usual. Turning off Brakely’s Screen Time access in iPhone Settings (requires your passcode or Face ID) stops all rules at once.
What happens if I delete Brakely?
Deleting needs no passcode, and all rules stop right away. After reinstalling, you start over: allow access again and recreate your rules. Your subscription belongs to your Apple ID and isn’t affected. To guard against deleting it on impulse, turn on “Block app deletion while active” in Strict mode.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Or in Brakely, open Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription.
When does billing start after the trial? Will I be reminded?
The yearly plan has a 7-day free trial, and billing starts on day 7. On day 5, Brakely sends you a reminder, and it shows on the home screen too. Cancel during the trial and you won’t be charged.
Can Brakely see what I do in apps?
No. Which apps you use, and for how long, is handled by iOS on your phone. Brakely doesn’t upload it and can’t see what you do inside apps.
How do I turn off anonymous data?
In Brakely’s Settings, turn off “Help improve Brakely”. Sending stops right away, and anything not yet sent is deleted from your phone.
